Shop This Sale and SAVE Money

SALE glorious SALE announcement is here…only till 1/21/20

I want you to have nice clothes at great prices, so I’m sharing one of my favorite sales,

You’ll get 40% to 70% off certain sale items at Bloomingdales.com and this is when I shop and save like crazy on every department in the store.

And let me tell you that they don’t play around with their sales, as the prices really will go back up on 1/21. Trust me…I know.

Example: A jacket I looked at yesterday on sale for $118 is an extra 40% off today!! That’s a savings of $47 and I consider that a lot of money to save.

I created this mini-catalog, see below,  with some of my notes for you to see the savings I’m talking about. Seriously you need to get items in your cart quickly before they run out.

Take a look at some of the savings during this brief sale and do check out the shoes too. Comfort and style are very important to my feet and me, so when you can get a quality shoe for the price of a just-okay shoe, hurry and grab em.

PS: Please do not fear to order online, because you will not have the large inventory to choose from in a store, and you’ll be missing out on some great deals. You’ll get free shipping both ways, so there is no risk other than losing the chance to save lots of money.

  3. Hoop earrings that are way too big for my then little face.
  4. Giant short sleeves that never, nor should, get a hey you look great comment.
  5. A bowl haircut that I must have foolishly paid someone to give me.
  6. Did I mention black socks?????

What To Wear As Mother Of The Bride Or Groom

When one of my clients has the joy of her son or daughter getting married, she calls me for ideas on what to wear as the mother of the Bride or Groom, and the first thing I tell them is not to wear black.

Ok, I know what you’re thinking…but Scarlett wore black.

Okay, I confess I did and that I’m somewhat ashamed, but please hear me out before you shake your finger at me or roll your eyes.

When you read to the end, you’ll find out the true reason I wore black.

I tried on at least 15 dresses in two different stores and in all sorts of colors and shapes. None fit me in a flattering way that also didn’t require weight loss or undergarments that I couldn’t get into without a team and likely some sort of pulley system.

Now when I take a client shopping, typically one of the first 3 if not the first dress is the winner for her, but that did not happen for me.

But when I put this dress on from a store called Elephants Trunk in Mt. Kisco NY, I knew I found ‘the one’ for me.

Still, I knew I wanted to make some changes so as to make the dress my own and have the look and style I wanted for myself.

The Elephants Trunk allowed me to customize the dress and along with their very talented seamstress, here is what I requested:

Bye, bye, frumpy sleeves!

I didn’t want the sleeves to be the same fabric as the main part of the dress as to me that looked frumpy.

As per my request, I wanted them to be made out of the lacey and slightly sparkly fabric.

But that wasn’t enough for me! I wanted a flowing back and the seamstress and salespeople on the floor looked at me like I was nuts!

To be honest, when I was in weeks before, the owner thought my idea was great.

Below is the back before the requested flowing fabric was added.

Below is the dress with the fabric pinned onto the back and once they saw my idea actually on, they loved my idea.

If you know me, you know I love clothes that have movement.

And here I am with my son on the day of my daughter’s wedding, and let me tell you it was a GREAT day and night.

What To Wear As Mother Of The Bride Or Groom

PS. The dress did come in other colors, but because this dress was made from two different fabrics the colors did not totally match and that is
the only reason why I ended up wearing black.

Take a look at the video below with a few of my tips to help you select a dress for the
special events in your life.

How To Push Your Sleeves Up!

Push Your Sleeves Up

For all the women who have worked with me and/or attended my presentations, you know how much I say… “don’t forget to push your sleeves up.”

Why?

Because an outfit looks much, much better when you push your sleeves up.

Before I was known as the stylist who helps women stop stressing about dressing, I wanted to be known as the Push Your Sleeves Up Stylist…that’s how much I love the look of sleeves pushed up.

But sleeves don’t always cooperate, so check out this sleeve saving gadget.

It’s called CuffedUp, and it has me pumped up!

No more sleeves falling down, getting in your food or making short arms look even shorter.

AND you can use it on pants hem too!!!

Men will love CuffedUp too.

When your sleeves are pushed up, your outfit will look considerably more stylish and polished.

Plus it makes you look thinner and taller.

Don’t believe me? Just go in front of a mirror and push one sleeve up and you’ll
see exactly what I mean.

The video below shows how the CuffedUp works.

Use code crew10 for an extra 10% off.

How To Organize Handbags In Your Closet

As the temps get cooler, you’re going to need to start finding and wearing the clothes that will keep you warm and cozy. But just because the leaves are dropping doesn’t mean our clothes and bags need to be falling too.

Here’s where I’m going with this…

Recently I looked into my closet and said to myself, enough is enough!

My bags, not just the ones under my eyes, were floppy and dingy and the clothes on my shelves looked like the back of my elbows. Wrinkled and in rough shape.

I figured out that the solution was to inject fillers, but not the ones you get at a spa or doctor’s office.

Step one: Injecting myself with determination and energy to get the job done.

No more saying one day, when I have time, or have nothing else to do, because we all know how one day often turns into no day, no way, no how.

We need to decide that one day is today and that is just what I did in just a few hours to make my closet look young and fresh again.

You can too when you follow these easy to do tips.

Fall in Love with Organizing Your Closet

Inject Fillers Into Your Floppy Handbags

Step two: Dumped out all my handbags onto my bed, and yes I do have quite a few of them, so I can see which needed more plumping up.

Most of them are loosely structured and need stuffing to stop flopping around on my closet’s shelves.

The solution is to inject fillers into the bags by stuffing them with bubble wrap, paper, or even the t-shirts you’re no longer wearing.

Just like your hair, they need some body to look good.

Once filled and stuffed, the bags will stand up straight and keep their original shape.

Gee, I wish it was that easy for our shapes.

Fall in Love with Organizing Your Closet

Tip: I put them back by color, and used a clear magazine holder for the little pouches, extra straps, etc. Think of it as Spanx for holding in all your loose pieces.

FYI most of my handbags are from MZ Wallace. I’m quite a fan of their bags.

All of my leggings are by Lysse. I’m a devoted fan of their bottoms too.

Nope, I’m a BIG fan.

Fall in Love with Organizing Your Closet

Then I tackled the clothes and shawls/ponchos I have folded on my shelves, or you may have them in drawers.

I folded each one neatly, so that not only can I clearly see what each piece is, but also to make it easier to decide which one to wear or pack when traveling.

To me, they look so much prettier now too, and yes I’ll keep them this way.

Fall in Love with Organizing Your Closet

I do have lots of leggings and jeans which I actually wear, so I organized them by color and made one pile for those in a larger size because let’s face it…we all have those days, or weeks, or months…you get what I mean.

Fall in Love with Organizing Your Closet

P.S. Not sure you noticed, but nothing from above was about which clothes I had to keep or toss.

Why do you ask?

Well, that’s because I stopped having an unhealthy relationship with my clothes, many, many years ago. Knowing when and how to say bye-bye to the clothes that are doing you wrong is life-changing and you’ll have less mess in your closet too.
