Tips To Find A Bathing Suit

It takes only 2 to find a well-fitting bathing suit.

2 is the magic number.

Do not and I mean do not try a bathing suit on in your clothing size.

I have no idea why the swimsuit and wedding dress designers chose to size their designs differently than clothes, but they did.

And they make women feel big and unhappy.

You should try on suits in 1 to 2 sizes up from your clothing size, and if you don’t you’re destined for a miserable, ego-deflating shopping experience because the swimsuit will be too tight and short on you.

Go up and you’ll look and feel like you went down a size or two.

Give it a try and let me know how it goes.

The Only Trend You Should Wear

Here’s the top 2022 fashion trend, but know I hate trends for my clients.
There I said it.

Trends are designed to make you buy new clothes.

New clothes are wonderful as long as they look good on you, and when a trend doesn’t look good on you, neither will your new clothes.

There are tons of clothing style choices these days that don’t look ridiculously trendy but do slim us down and elevate our style.

But, I do have one exception.

The hottest trend for this year is…Dopamine Dressing!!

Dopamine Dressing involves dressing with the intention of boosting your mood, and when you wear clothes that make you look and feel slimmer, confident, approachable, and put-together, you’ll be boosted every single day of the year!

Here’s a bit more of my thoughts on fashion trends and dressing to look and feel happy:

How To Match Your Clothes

How To Match Your Clothes

Have something in your closet you never wear?

Maybe, just maybe, it’s because it doesn’t match anything else you have.

And if it doesn’t match one or more other clothes in your closet, you won’t wear it and you’ve wasted your money.

So next time you buy or look at a scarf or top you already own, pick them up and do this quick exercise that I show in the video below.

You’ll discover new combinations or see that it doesn’t match anything you own.

Here’s a Quick Tip On How To Match Your Clothes in the video below.

Clothes Shopping Mistake

Clothes Shopping Mistake

It’s time for you to stop making this very common
clothes shopping mistake.

Stop buying more of what you already own.

When it comes to buying clothes, you are likely drawn to what you’re used to wearing, even if it might not be your most flattering look or fit.

And then, you buy it over and over. Be it another pair of black pants, leggings, a top you have in multiple colors, etc.

Break your habit, and try on something you’ve never worn before. Hey, even I need to do this sometimes.

I promise you’ll be happily surprised when a totally different style, fit and color looks very good on you, and then your closet won’t be filled with clothes that all look the same and you won’t be bored like this woman was.

Tiny tweaks make big differences in how we look, and when you know the ones perfect for your unique features and life, you will stop feeling bad when you go out and start feeling and looking like the fabulous woman you are.

Here is another one of my tips for you to use starting today..

When you’re ready to stop feeling less than and turning down invitations and other opportunities, book a complimentary Know What To Wear Call with me and find out how to get outfits that will get you excited to go out and be seen.

How To Stop Losing Money In Your Closet

How To Stop Losing Money In Your Closet

Here’s how to stop losing money in your closet…and it’s so easy.

Stop taking your price tags off!!

Stop it!!

When you hastily cut the price tags off, you lose your chance to get your money back.

I’ve seen way too many clothes hanging in my client’s closets that were never worn or returned.

No more wasting money on clothes you shouldn’t or won’t wear.

And, that’s why you should…

Try them on in the dressing room.

Try them on again at home.

Try them on with the right shoes…not your bare feet. This makes a big difference…trust me.

And try them on again, with the rest of your outfit before you snip that price tag off.

Maybe you got a great deal on it, but until you know for sure it’s keeper, don’t take the price tags off.

And, if it isn’t right for you, return it. That’s how to stop losing money in your closet.

Keep your money to use for clothes that you should, and will love to wear.

Scary question: How much money do you think you’ve spent on clothes you don’t wear?

Send an email to Scarlett@ScarlettImage.com, if you want me to show you the clothes that are taking the price tag off worthy for you.

How To Look Better In Jeans

How To Look Better In Jeans

Who else has spent hours, days, or years trying to find jeans that fit and flatter?

Let’s face it, finding a pair of jeans that we can get into and zipped, is as frustrating as trying on bathing suits.

Actually, worse because we can sit by the pool not wearing a bathing suit.

We could wear jeans…

and now we’re right back at struggling to find a pair that make our tush and tummy look good.

Today I’m going to share tips on how to look better in jeans & where to find them.

The search began for me decades ago, and as my body, designs, and fabrications have changed, so have the jeans that look good on me and likely you as well.

Watch my video below to see why rolling up or shortening
your jeans can be
a thumbs up or down, and so much more.

NOTE: I still love skinny-legged jeans, which is what I’m wearing in the above photos, despite the current trend of more baggy-shaped jeans being pushed on us.
Skinny/narrow styles can make your legs look longer and leaner when worn with longer tops, and if this shape isn’t right for you because it truly isn’t flattering on everyone, try straight-legged jeans.
Straight-legged have a bit more wiggle room, without adding unnecessary width to your body.

Why Do My Clothes Always Look Better On Someone Else?

Why Do My Clothes Always Look Better On Someone Else?

Ever see another person wear something that you love, and run out to buy it with great enthusiasm only to put it on and realize it doesn’t look as great on you as it did on her?

I mean it’s really frustrating when you put a fabulous outfit your friend, or that stranger on TV, wore and on you, it’s a BIG HELL NO.

Maybe the sleeves are too short, or the length isn’t right. Perhaps the pockets are in the wrong place, and that list can go on, and on, and on.

It’s NOT your fault.

Find The Hidden Treasures In Your Closet

Find The Hidden Treasures In Your Closet

Find The Hidden Treasures In Your Closet

You need to find the hidden treasures in your closet, drawers, and boxes.

No, really.

You need to dig into your jewelry stash, not just to admire but actually wear.

Recently I was creating some new outfits for one of my wonderful clients, and I felt her necklaces were not what I needed to make her outfit Scarlett-fied.

Then she remembered a box filled with long-forgotten necklaces, and eureka..there it was.  A necklace she’s had for years and totally forgot about. It was colorful, fun, and perfect for her new outfit.

Can you open up your long-forgotten stash, and look for some treasures too?
