  • Why not being able to close your jacket is ok.
  • Why weight is not the reason you don’t know what to wear.
  • That I’m not a fan of dummies, AKA store mannequins.

  • and sooo much more.

“Thank you Scarlett – so much great advice – my closets are so, so much easier to navigate – You made editing easy and possible – the idea of getting dressed without hassle and wasted time and money is just thrilling – so many better things to do. I am thrilled with “Less is More.”

My Favorite Things 2022

Oprah shouldn’t be the only one who gets to share her faves, so here are My Favorite Things 2022.

Some make great stocking stuffers, others gifts, and all are perfect to give to yourself because you deserve them!

My Favorite Things 2022

My Favorite Things 2022

Eyelash Lift – I get my eyelashes permed so they are not stick-straight and I don’t have to use an eyelash curler.
I go to Julia Brown in Collinsville CT. She’s wonderful and in a very cool location.

Bathing SuitMiraclesuit bathing suits. Yes, they are pricey but boy do they suck in where we need them to. A coupon for $50 off pops up when you go to their site and they have styles on sale.
Note: Be sure to read my sizing tips here before you choose what size to order any bathing suit.

My Favorite Things 2022

Moisturizer – I LOVE this moisturizer. I mean LOVE it, and I’m pretty sure you will too.

My Favorite Things 2022

Camera Covers – Protect your privacy with these covers for your computer, iPad, phone, or whatever device you own that has a camera.
Recently I was in my bathrobe right in front of my computer, w/o makeup on, getting ready for the day while attending a Zoom event. I thought my camera was off, but it wasn’t. 😬😬😬😳😳😳
Thank goodness I had the camera cover on my computer in the closed position and all the hundreds of other attendees saw was a black square.

My Favorite Things 2022

Tiara Shower Caps – This is the 2nd year I’m recommending these great caps.
Stay tuned, because soon she is rolling out a fabulous natural deodorant that actually works!

How to pick out eyeglass frames

Eyeglasses can be costly and knowing how to pick out the right eyeglass frames will save you money and aggravation.

They’re also a great accessory, so choosing the right pair can also make your outfit even better.

Eventually, most of us will need eyeglasses and trying to find a pair that we look good in
and love to wear can be overwhelming.

There are a few things to keep in mind when choosing eyeglass frames. First, consider your face shape. If you have a round face, you’ll want to avoid round frames, which will only accentuate the shape of your face. Instead, go for angular frames, which will help to slim down your appearance. If you have an oval-shaped face, you’re lucky – pretty much any frame style will look good on you!

Second, think about the color of the frames. You’ll want to choose a color that complements your skin tone and hair color.

Here I am, about 8 years ago in the video below, sharing even more tips on how to pick out eyeglass frames that are flattering.

Based on how I was looking at the wrong place on my computer, I could have used a pair myself.

And then she said:
Scarlett has been amazing in upgrading my wardrobe so that it’s now professional, attractive, and ready for anything! When I wore one of the beautiful business suits that she selected, I was able to exert full authority as I advocated for a hospitalized client in an explosive situation. This is just one example of the unexpected effects of dressing for the part. Scarlett, thank you, thank you, thank you! Ruth Levy

Are Your Clothes Bringing You Down?

Are Your Clothes Bringing You Down?

Are your clothes bringing you down? Have way too many? Nothing you love to wear?

Don’t think there is something wrong with you when it comes to your clothes.

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again…it’s the clothes that need fixing, not you!!

The reason you have lots of clothes in your closet, and “nothing to wear” is that you keep

buying and wearing clothes that are not right for your shape, age, personality, and proportions.

Not because you are not thinner, taller, or younger.

Watch my 2nd episode on Better Than Gossip TV which airs on Binge Networks TV, and

learn how to shop more successfully for clothes, and why shopping alone is a really great idea.

Are Your Clothes Bringing You Down?

And then, my wonderful virtual styling client said…

Are Your Clothes Bringing You Down?

Working with Scarlett De Bease hasn’t been “work.” It’s been a joy. Like many women, over time I’ve transitioned through wardrobe and physical changes. Scarlett helped me not only clear the clutter from my closet but also my inner critic. My sense of what colors, shapes, and styles look best on me feels sharper. I have confidence as I shop online or in person for what’s right for me, and what I can leave on the rack. (In the past, many of those items would have come home and remained on a hanger or consigned). Today I browsed in a favorite store and noticed many items aren’t for me, but I also let the manager know what I’m looking for and she’ll set them aside for me. It creates sustainable habits for my wallet and the planet. Win-win. Let Scarlett get into your head and wardrobe and you’ll find yourself winning, too! KATHY KOENIG

Why Your Clothes Don’t Fit.

This tiny detail is one of the many reasons why your clothes don’t fit and why you might

not have any idea why something is wrong with your outfit, but you can’t quite put your finger on it.

Take a look at my video on YouTube and see what’s in your closet that fits this common fit problem.

Until you can identify all the different styling details, and there are a lot, you will always wonder why your clothes don’t fit the way you think they should.

Pay attention to details in the clothes you wear and buy, and you’ll end up saving money and walking into a room looking and feeling confident, instead of feeling like you can’t quite get it right.

Here’s how I can show you how to be the best-dressed woman in any room.

I did not look up the dating score in case my husband reads my blog. 😂😂😂😂

Go see what your photo is saying to your audience, and see if it is what you intended.

Do you deny, resist, and ignore your problems?

Do you deny, resist, and ignore your what-to-wear problems?

I hear it all the time from women, who wish they hadn’t wished for years pretending there wasn’t a problem hiding in their closet.

The video below explains what I’m talking about, and if you are ready to be confident when you walk into the room, send me a message with the subject line ME.

Here are a few telltale signs you are tired of guessing what you should wear:

  • You have lots of price tags in your closet from clothes you bought but have never actually worn.
  • When heading to an event you give yourself a little fashion show and end up so disappointed that you consider not going.
  • You’re hanging on to old clothes you used to love in the hopes that someday you’ll “fit into them again”.
  • You feel like clothes shopping is stressful and a big waste of your time.
  • You dream of being able to open your closet and easily pick something to wear you know you’ll look fabulous in without being embarrassed bumping into someone you know.

Sounds like you?
Then we should talk. Contact me for a complimentary Be the Best Dressed Woman In The Room session, and let’s see if we’d be a good fit for working together, and getting you the best-fitting and looking clothes to increase your income, impact, and influence.

Do you deny, resist, and ignore your problems

Tips To Avoid Buying The Wrong Clothes.

When you know the tips to avoid buying the wrong clothes, you’ll find yourself getting less
frustrated looking into your closet and seeing all the money you’ve wasted on clothes.

Step 1: Look both ways when trying on clothes.
Add a third way never hurts by looking behind yourself too.

Tips To Avoid Buying The Wrong Clothes.

Here I am trying on a top that is a twist, kinda literally, on a basic white top.

From the front, I’m loving the waist-defining feature of the tie front.

Step 2: From the side, oh NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Heck no. Like, so not happening/buying.
Tips to avoid buying the wrong clothes

You likely have a few, or yikes many, pieces in your closet that don’t look great on you from one or more angles, and you’re so tired of wasting money on those clothes.

Very tired.

I get it. I know it’s frustrating that you think you should be able to choose the right clothes to wear and buy, but year after year you still don’t.

That’s why I’m here.

That’s why I created my personal wardrobe styling service.

If you relate to the women I speak about in this video below, write ME in an email to Scarlett@ScarlettImage.com.

Note: The gathering along my bustline was also a no, and the pants I was trying on were a thumbs-down for sure.
