Some Of My Favorite Things On Amazon

my favorite things on Amazon

Amazon has become the go-to place to shop, and these days of mostly staying at home, we can find practically anything there.

No matter how you may feel about Amazon, there are some great finds on it, and here are a few of my favorites in a very, very eclectic list.

My Favorite Things On Amazon.

Cover your shoulders in the heat and stay cool with these sheer covers that I often recommend that comes in tons of colors.

This poncho is for cooler weather and perfect for throwing on over your top to instantly look stylish & really great for when you’re going to be on Zoom for a virtual date or meeting.

This poncho is perfect for covering up in warmer weather and another great choice for Zoom dating and meetings and also comes in tons of colors.

This well-priced ring light is what I use when I don’t have enough natural light. Plus it has a remote for taking photos or videos.

If you like hard-boiled eggs, I don’t but my husband does, this is the cutest way to cook and store them. It was one of his favorite Christmas gifts.

This iPhone case is expensive looking, great quality, and comes packaged like a Hermes scarf. and makes for a great gift.

I love black string licorice and have a hard time finding it. This 2 lb bag keeps me happy…for a bit of time. 🤫

These are so much nicer than the regular reusable plastic tote bags I used to use when shopping at the market.

I LOVE this body cream. Not only is it a great body moisturizer but also smells soooo good.

I would love to know your Amazon finds and favorites, so please share yours with me, and they just might make it to my list of favorites too.

How Are Your Roots Doing?

I don’t mean your Ancestory.com results.

I mean the roots on your head.

A few weeks ago, I asked what would you like me to help you with during the quarantine, and the majority of responses were asking for tips on how to handle going grey.

For some women, this is the perfect time to experiment and see if going all grey is right for them and become a member of the Silver Sisters club.

#SilverSisters

If you do want to go all grey, go for it. If your eyes are blue or green the odds are very, very good that you’ll look stunning in grey hair so really, really go for it.

Keep in mind that as your hair color changes whether going grey, brunette, or black, the colors you wear near your face need to change as well. Your coloring from hair, eyes, to skin-tone, will need different clothing colors to be the most flattering for you.

But, and this is a big but…if you want to NOT bring attention to your grey roots while you wait for your salon appointment, do not wear grey near your face.

If you are all grey or ready to embrace your roots, go ahead and wear grey just like how the majority of the Silver Sisters in the photo above are doing.

For those of you who want to cover up your grey roots until you can go back to your ‘natural’ color, click on the image below to see the products that will keep your secret until you can get back into the salon chair or color your hair at home if you dare.

Two Four Letter Words – Bras & Help

online personal stylingGuess what?

You’re not the only one who isn’t wearing a bra that often…or at all during the quarantine, but in times like these we all need a lift and in more ways than one.

So while you have the extra time check out these great bra tips a friend sent me from a lingerie site she subscribes to, herroom.com. My friend really loves bras!

1st four-letter word – BRAS

Bras “wear out” at different rates.  It really depends a lot on your cup size.  The larger the cup size, the more stress is put on the fabrics and thus they wear out quicker.  Here are a few good rules to help you decide whether or not to keep your bra.

  • Hook adjustment being used – Bras should initially fit you on their loosest hook setting.  You then tighten as you continue to wear a bra until you are on the tightest hook setting and the band is starting to feel loose. This is the time to toss.
  • Front Closure – The downside to a front closure bra is that they wear out faster because there is no adjustability.  So, when they start feeling loose in the band, its time for them to go.
  • Sports bras – Because these bras are washed frequently and work harder to contain breast bounce, they tend to wear out faster.  The rule of thumb is that when you buy new workout shoes, you should also need a new sports bra.
  • Weight fluctuations – Every bra in your drawer should be put on and tested for fit. Take the time to adjust your straps, pull your breast tissue into your cups, and then look at yourself in the mirror.  If it no longer fits, let it go.
  • Rarely worn bras – We all have them; that special bra for a wedding, or to provide support under an unusual neckline.  They have hardly been used so you don’t want to throw them away. Well, try it on again.  Does it still fit? If it does, is it still comfortable, and has not deteriorated hold on to it if you have room and think you might use it again.  If not, let it go. That event came and went.  So should the bra.

2nd four-letter word – HELP

How can I HELP you?

You’ve likely spent years looking into your closet, seeing clothes that you have spent good hard-earned money on, and never wear…I can help you with this.

You’ve probably wanted to lose weight to fit back into many of your clothes for a few years, yet…well, you know. Being home pretty much 24/7 isn’t helping that much either…I can help you with this.

You might have convinced yourself that you can’t wear nice outfits…You’re wrong and I can help you with this…it’s what I do all the time.

You’ll get yourself out of the style rut you’ve been in for waaaay too long when you allow me to show you how to always know what to wear with my online personal styling service. You’ll finally be able to open your closet quickly, easily, and happy to pick out what to wear.

When HELP is needed, it only works when you take it.
Take it today, and you won’t need help figuring out
what to wear ever again.

I’ll HELP you be your best when it’s time to get out and be seen again.

Virtual Wardrobe Styling Will Show You What To Wear

Virtual Wardrobe Styling Will Show You What To Wear
Virtual Wardrobe Styling Will Show You What To Wear

It’s time for me to give it to you straight and stop avoiding telling you the truth.

If you’re experiencing:

1. Not knowing how to look good and still be comfortable.
2. Not knowing how to dress for your body shape.
3. A closet filled with clothes that don’t really go with each other.

Then you need to work with me because if you don’t, you’re going to experience:

1. Overwhelm, insecurity, frustration, and regret – another year wasted.
2. Feeling stuck and unhappy by continuing to wear and buy the same things over and over.
3. A realization you wasted an opportunity to look great now from the waist up on video and for when it’s time to get out of your house possibly, like me, few pounds heavier.

Invest and believe in yourself now while you have more time because not knowing what to wear is exhausting, frustrating and expensive.

I’ve been virtually showing women what clothes, colors, and styles work and don’t work for their shape, life, age, and budget for years and now it’s your turn.

It’s time for you to also stop being tired of stressing about dressing.

Sign up for either a basic or premium virtual styling consultation by April 30, and I’ll add my Dress Without Stress video course with unlimited
Q & A in a private FaceBook group as a bonus during these challenging times.

It’s important to shower, get dressed and put on some makeup almost every day so that we protect our minds to make ourselves feel better and stronger.

We might be a bit heavier in weight, but can be lighter in our thoughts by taking the time to learn how to look and feel our best.

With being in quarantine due to Covid-19 it’s way too easy to get lazy and stop caring about how we look, but when we can get out again how we look and present ourselves is going to be very important.

How To Look Good In Virtual Meetings

Here’s How To Look Good In Virtual Meetings
and
Look Great From The Waist Up

Smile, because you really are on candid camera.

Now more than ever you need to be camera-ready pretty much every day.

While living in this new normal we still need and should connect with others, and we’re mostly doing so from the waist up.

You’re either meeting with your clients, team, friends, and even dating via Skype, Zoom, FaceTime, etc.

Perhaps you can use the extra free time to create those videos you
keep putting off to connect with your peeps.

Watch this video to learn how to look good in virtual meetings and get the tips to get you looking great from the waist up while working, connecting, and dating virtually from your home.

If you’ve been following me, you know that I love giving tips on how you can look and feel your best. Yet, in this crazy and scary time, it’s not easy to even get out of your pjs…trust me, I know. No really, I KNOW!!!

How To Look Good In Virtual Meetings

Want to learn how you can look great virtually and eventually in person too? Go here to find out how you can finally learn what YOU should wear.

Working Virtually? Then You Need To Know How To Dress From The waist Up.

Working Virtually?
Working Virtually? Then You Need To Know How To Dress From The waist Up.

Nobody, nowhere, no way, and no how could have even dreamed up what we and I mean WE are going thru right now.

For many, the ability to continue working is a blessing and a curse as they are regularly exposed to the Coronavirus. But without them, we wouldn’t have food, medical care, medications, pet needs, and our beloved Amazon shipments.

Some lucky people can conduct what is left of their business virtually via Zoom, Skype, etc. and are currently only seen from the waist up.

So, what to wear when working virtually?

First, be sure to wear the color or colors nearest your face that makes your skin tone look healthy. Now more than ever, you need to give the impression of good health and strength when you’re fortunate enough to have it.

Avoid any color that makes your skin look sallow. Instead, wear colors that match your eyes as that is a sure bet to be flattering for you. When unsure, wear blues such as navy, teal, or turquoise.

First, get out of your PJs. Psst, I’m in my robe as I write this, but in my defense it’s Sunday.

As tempting as it may be to throw on a clean t-shirt, instead wear a top you would wear if you were presenting in-person, in-office or attending networking events.

Here’s a simple outfit to put together with what you already have in your closet and in case you’ll be virtual from head to toe, I’ve got you covered. You’ll be and feel attractive, comfortable and ready for being seen on screen.

Put on long loose tops, such as a tunic style top or pullover that’ll cover your tummy & tush in case you need to stand up. You’ll at least be comfortable at a time when most feel anything but.

Tie one on…shame on you, I meant a scarf. It will give instant oomph to your comfy outfit and make even the most basic of tops look like you made an effort.

Throw on boots, flats, fun sneakers or sandals depending upon the weather. If you’ll be staying seated, go ahead and wear your fuzzy slippers. One silver lining is that you can be comfortable and not wear any shoes that will cause you any discomfort.

P.S. I’m wearing my slippers while on a virtual personal styling call in the photo above.

TIP: Be sure to be eye level with your camera so nobody looks up your nose.

MAJOR Tip: Turn your camera and microphone off when you are multi-tasking or using the bathroom. Yup, that really happened and you can look it up if you want to. #PoorJennifer

Should You Wear Back and White?

Some things are as clear as black and white.

But, should you wear black and white?

Not always and here’s why.

P.S. You could learn how to always know what to wear and
easily pick out an age-appropriate and flattering outfit wth my
virtual styling service.

My clients NEVER stress about what to wear and
neither should you.

Use your extra time at home wisely and finally get control of your clothes. When the Coronavirus is behind us, you’re going to want to get out of the house to mix and mingle and you shouldn’t keep wasting precious time and energy figuring
out what to wear.

Working remotely is getting very popular right now. Fortunately, I’ve been doing that for years so I’m inviting you to take advantage of working with me virtually so you’ll get the tips you to finally end your years of Stressing About Dressing.

Do You Want Clothes Like These Too?
