Guess How Much?

save money for clothes

It is no secret to my clients, friends and family that I love a deal. I don’t just love saving money, I also can find a way to save money for clothes and accessories that make even the seasoned sales people gasp with envy and admiration.

I can’t stop myself, as it is in my genes. My mother was a master at stretching a dollar, and I learned not just how to save money but also get higher value merchandise for lower prices.

Since I started paying for my own clothes at the age of 16, I have had plenty of time and experience to hone my money saving skills and I love doing the same for my clients when I take them shopping.

No matter what my client’ s budget may be, I feel there is no need to pay more than necessary so I hit the sales racks first and look for style and quality as opposed to the name on the label.

Recently I was hired by a loving and generous gentleman, for me to to create an outfit for a very important job interview for his sister. He thought perhaps I could find a few other pieces to give her some other options. He gave me a budget to work with and here is what she left the store with:

3 bras
1 leather handbag
2 pairs jeans
1 pair black pants
1 jacket
8 tops

Based on the budget I was working with, I took her to Macy’s and had their coupons in hand.

So guess how much the total was?

A. $500

B. $400

C. $300

D. $200

Send me an email so you will know what the total dollars spent!! 🤑🤑🤑

“I highly recommend hiring Scarlett! She helped me purge the out-of-date and unattractive clothes from my closet, showed me new ways to wear my existing clothes & accessories to highlight my face and figure, and emailed me almost 50 pictures that evening of all of the outfits she put together. In addition, Scarlett made a list of the items I needed to purchase and can be hired to shop with me to make sure I make the best decisions. No more wasting time and money buying the wrong clothing items. She was a pleasure to work with and I had a great time in the process.” —Denise Baliotti The Finished Room
