6 Easy Ways to Elevate Your Look

As I get older, I spend more on myself, trying out different styles and buying more expensive clothes than I used to.
As you get older, change is beneficial and helps turn back the clock on your self-image.
Try following these six ways to elevate your style and discover that you can look better than you have in years.
- Stop wearing clothing that is too tight or too big for you. Wearing improperly fitting clothes is aging, uncomfortable, and sends the message that you ignore yourself and your career. If your seams are straining or your pants are too loose, please make finding the right-fitting clothes a top priority.
- Wear less makeup than you did in your 20s, or consider wearing some makeup if you’ve never worn it before. There is a balance to seek, and sometimes mascara and lipstick are all that you need.
- Don’t wear outdated–looking clothes, as that guarantees looking and feeling older, out of date, and stuck in the past. Just because it still fits, does not mean it should still be worn.
- Stay on top of your roots. Not your family roots, but the ones on your head. Don’t let it be so apparent that you are covering up gray hair. Between salon visits, there are various touch-up products available to cover up gray hair or match your highlights. I love this one by WOW.
- Find out what clothes work best for your particular body shape and which manufacturers design clothing for your particular shape.
- Don’t wear shoes that look like they are for problem feet. There are so many choices these days in footwear that are stylish and comfortable.
Here are a few of my favorite shoe brands at a variety of price points for you to check out:
- Vionic Wide width available.
- Ally Narrow and wide widths.
- Gentle Souls
- Munro Narrow and wide widths. They have closed production, but you can still get a few great styles.
- Vivaia Limited wide width available.
Making one or all of the above simple changes will be a big factor in how you and others see yourself. After all, you’re now wiser, more confident, full of experience—and soon, you’ll be dressing better than ever!
