How To Organize Your Jeans

Make January your closet clean-up month.
Do you have a lot of jeans?
True confession…I do, but in various styles and colors, and I pretty much wear them all.
But, I would have to pull a pant out entirely to see what the leg shape and length were. VERY annoying and  a waste of time,
I even found a ‘free’ pair of pants, because I forgot I had them.
Simply by changing how I organized my jeans, I found a few I had forgotten about, and some I know I’ll never wear again.

Weird fact: Just like my belts, some of them shrank.
Does that happen to you, too?
How To Organize Your Jeans
Here’s how to organize your jeans using this method, and I encourage you to do the same.
  1. Clear off the shelves or drawers where you keep your jeans.
  2. Fold them all the same way.
  3. Separate by pant style.
Ex. Wide leg, skinny, straight, cropped.
  4. Create a label so you can identify each category when you put them back. See the above photos.
  5. Only organize by pant style, not color.
  6. Enjoy knowing, finding, and wearing all your denim.
Confession: In the photo below, I’m wearing my ‘free’ pair of Lysse black denim pull-on jeans I completely forgot I had until I reorganized using the above system. I’m wearing them a lot these days. Comfy and forgiving.
I bet you can find some free clothes too!
