Experiment With Your Clothes & Play Dress-Up
Playing dress-up with clothes is my absolute favorite thing to do. Combining clothes and accessories in new and unexpected ways brings my clients and me great joy.
However, experimenting does take extra time and courage, but it is soooo worth it. The denim dress I’m wearing below was bought about 3 years ago and has barely been worn.
If it was warm enough to wear, the thick denim was too hot for me.
Hey, I wilt easily.
A trendy look is to wear a t-shirt under a dress like this, but I hate wearing outfits that everyone else is wearing.
So when the temps were in the 70’s, I wanted to wear this dress. Instead of a t-shirt, I put on this short-sleeved top I got last year on sale at Macy’s for about $15.
My husband told me it was flattering. Does that mean my other outfits weren’t?? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Experiment With Your Clothes & Play Dress-Up.
YOUR homework is:
1. Play dress-up with your clothes.
2. Try new combinations.
3. Put a piece of clothing on that you haven’t tried in a very long time.
If it looks great, create a new outfit with it.
If it doesn’t look great, consign, donate, or gift it. Do not put it back in your closet.
You’ll have less in your closet, and a few new outfits too.
