Dopamine Dressing Is The Trend You Should Follow

Here’s a fashion trend I like, even though I hate trends…Dopamine Dressing!

Huh?

Trends are designed to make you buy new clothes.

New clothes are wonderful as long as they look good on you, and when a trend doesn’t look good on you, neither will your new clothes.

There are many clothing style choices these days that don’t look ridiculously trendy but slim us down and elevate our style.

But, I do have one exception.

The best trend for you is…Dopamine Dressing!!

Dopamine Dressing involves dressing to boost your mood, and when you wear clothes that make you look and feel slimmer, confident, approachable, and put-together, you’ll be boosted every single day of the year!

Here’s a bit more of my thoughts on fashion trends and dressing to look and feel happy:

How To Stop Losing Money In Your Closet

Here’s how to stop losing money in your closet…and it’s so easy.

Stop taking your price tags off!!

Stop it!!

When you hastily cut the price tags off, you lose your chance to get your money back.

I’ve seen way too many clothes hanging in my client’s closets that were never worn or returned.

No more wasting money on clothes you shouldn’t or won’t wear.

And, that’s why you should…

Try them on in the dressing room.

Try them on again at home.

Try them on with the right shoes…not your bare feet. This makes a big difference…trust me.

And try them on again, with the rest of your outfit before you snip that price tag off.

Maybe you got a great deal on it, but until you know for sure it’s keeper, don’t take the price tags off.

And, if it isn’t right for you, return it. That’s how to stop losing money in your closet.

Keep your money to use for clothes that you should, and will love to wear.

Scary question: How much money do you think you’ve spent on clothes you don’t wear?

Send an email to Scarlett@ScarlettImage.com, if you want me to show you the clothes that are taking the price tag off worthy for you.

Will Jewelry Make Your Outfit Look Better?

Will Jewelry Make Your Outfit Look Better?

YES!!!!!!

Will Jewelry Make Your Outfit Look Better?

There must be something in my client’s water, as lately so many of them are sharing jewelry designers they’ve met and want me to meet as well.

It’s likely not the water but more that they know how much I love using jewelry often and creatively to make some killer outfits for them.

Today I’ll share the beautiful and affordable designs by Amy Kanarek.

Amy has allowed me to customize her designs for my clients, so I can pick out the perfect metal and stone colors for their features and clothes.

Details matter, and when you wear the right ones you’ve hit the Jackpot. Even a simple all-black outfit or t-shirt and jeans become a watch-out world one with a necklace and earrings that bring out your features that adds personality to your wardrobe.

NOTE: If you make a purchase on Amy Kanarek, tell her Scarlett sent you.
If you are a client of mine I’ll make customized suggestions for you because YOU know why the details matter.

Move Over Richard Gere: How You Could Have Your Own Pretty Woman Experience.

Personal ShoppingDidn’t you love the scene in Pretty Woman, when the character played by Julia Roberts was surrounded by personal shopping saleswomen happily finding her the perfect clothes & accessories? Thank you to Richard Gere, for making so many women want you in their lives, and wish that you………sorry, I’m digressing.

Oh, the magic of movies….wait a minute.

Personal shopping is not a fantasy or solely for the wealthy. It’s for women who hate the clothes they own, how they look in them, and despise shopping!

Many department stores offer you their personal shopping services at no cost but keep in mind their goal is to sell and not to find you the clothes that will allow you to open your closet and easily find what to wear.

As a matter of fact, a new client of mine spent $$$ at a store with their personal shopper, and was so upset when she realized she still had nothing to wear!! That’s when she called me.

I offer personal shopping to my clients, and my goal was to find the pieces that will allow her to easily and quickly pick out what to wear. First I went to her home, reviewed her clothes, created new outfits, explained why some clothes were not working on her, and created a list of what she needs for when I shop for her, to complete the blanks she needs in her existing wardrobe.

Take a look at this short video I took of what your Pretty Woman personal shopping dressing room can look like for you.

When Do You Feel Best About Your Body?

The result of a poll of 4,000 Oprah magazine readers is very telling and quite relatable.

When Do You Feel Best About Your Body?

The numbers that stuck out the most to me, after all, I am a wardrobe stylist and personal shopper, were the answers to the following poll question:

When do you feel best about your body?

10%  When I catch someone checking me out

14%  When someone compliments me

14%  When I’m killing it at the gym

30%  Other

32%  When I’m wearing a fabulous new outfit

What a woman wears wins!!

Yet why then do so many women put off discovering the clothes that will allow them to love choosing what to wear?

STOP the madness!!

Don’t let weight struggles or guilt, keep you from looking and feeling good about yourself now.
Size, age, stress, budget or time should never keep a woman from taking care of and feeling good about herself.

Please tell me in the comment box below, When Do You Feel Best About Your Body? If anyone chooses Other, could you let me know what other is?

Pssst…Overheard In The Dressing Room

Take a look and listen to one of my clients in the video below talk about her first shopping experience with me.
P.S. YEARS went by till she finally made a personal shopping appointment with me and it looks like she won’t wait that long again.

Want To Eavesdrop On A Dressing Room Conversation?

Pssst…Overheard In The Dressing Room

This really was exactly what I hear in my client’s dressing room and it takes place with every woman I take shopping. No exaggeration, no kidding!
Dressing Room

As she entered the dressing room and saw it filled with clothes and accessories, my client’s eyes and mouth opened wide. After a few seconds of rapid eye blinking, she asked, “all this for me?”

“Of course,” I replied, and here are the pants you need, tops in your colors and those comfortable shoes I told you about.”

Looking slightly overwhelmed, she asks “What should I try on first?”

“Start with these pants and this top”, I said as I handed them to her, and began to step outside the room to give her privacy.

Right before I went thru the dressing room door, she looked at the top I handed her and proclaimed, “There is no way this is going to look good on me.”

“Try it on anyway”, I said. “You need to try on what I have brought in here, and although not everything will look great on you until you try it, you can’t really know what will flatter you once it is on your body”.

As I closed the door, she shrugged her shoulders and looked at me like I was crazy, and was quite confident she would HATE the top.

Thru the closed door I heard a gasp, and after asking “May I come in?”, she opened the door. She stood there smiling from ear to ear in awe, and exclaimed, “I love it”. “I just can’t believe it”. “I would NEVER have picked this out by myself”.

I smile proudly and thought to myself, “I love how this happens EVERY time I take a client shopping”.
Pssst… have you ever had that “no way this will look good on me” moment in a dressing room? Let me take the guesswork out of shopping for you! Book a call with me today, and let’s discover pieces that will make you say, “I love it!” just like all my clients do.

“Before I worked with Scarlett, I bought random pieces of clothing and would go thru my closet everyday, trying hard to figure out what to wear. Now my closet is organized, thanks to Scarlett by color and filled with clothes from our shopping trip, that easily co-ordinate with each other. Picking out what to wear is now a joy. Thank you Scarlett!

Did You Know I Do This Too?

Did You Know I Do This Too?

Many of you know a little bit of what I do for and with my clients, but I bet you don’t know all of the services I offer.

Sure I can take my clients shopping and show them what to wear, but did you know that I also help them with……Oh, just watch the video and find out. Maybe you’ll even find out you are one of my VIP clients.

What To Wear

Scarlett’s warmth and kindness immediately put me at ease as soon as she stepped in the door. She came to help me put together an outfit for the most important moment of my career, giving my first TEDx talk! I was working through my stage fright, and I knew that if I looked great on stage, I would feel much more confident on the big day. Scarlett helped me choose the right colors for my skin and hair, and ended up not only choosing a fabulous outfit for the TEDx talk, she also put together many more outfits for my professional life. I would never have thought of combining that blouse with that jacket and skirt. It was like getting five new outfits without spending a penny on clothes. I love Scarlett so much, I have hosted her on a webinar and my radio show, so she can reach my clients who are dating again after divorce or loss.
Helping women feel better about the bodies they have and knowing what to wear? Priceless!”
